You don’t have to wait for a buyer to submit a request. If you’ve discussed an order by phone or email, you can create the quote yourself in Shopify Admin.
1. Choose the company and contact
Open Quotes and select Create quote. Search for the Shopify company, then choose the contact who will receive the offer.
Select a Company location where that contact can place orders. The contact needs a valid email address in Shopify. If the company or contact is missing, add them in Shopify first.
2. Add the items and enquiry details
Search the buyer’s catalog and select products with their quantities, or use Or paste SKUs and quantities, one per line. Use one input method for the request.
Choose the Buyer email language. You can also add a PO number and Enquiry notes from your conversation.
Select Create draft and edit pricing. QuoteWick checks current catalog access, prices, currency, quantity rules, volume tiers, and payment terms before creating the draft.
The quote is assigned to you. It stays hidden from the buyer’s quote list and document access until you send an offer.
3. Prepare and send the offer
The new draft opens in the pricing editor. Review the items, set the offered prices, and add your message to the buyer.
Choose Save draft to keep working later, or Save and send to buyer when it’s ready. See Prepare, send, and revise an offer for the editor steps.
To send a quote-review email as well, complete the email setup.
Start from an existing quote
Open the earlier quote and select Duplicate quote. You can do this from a closed or converted quote too.
The duplicate uses the same contact and variant quantities. Choose an authorized company location, check the buyer email language, and enter any new PO number or enquiry notes. Then select Create draft and edit pricing.
Catalog prices and payment terms are refreshed. The new quote does not inherit earlier discounts, PO numbers, messages, attachments, PDFs, acceptance, expiry, or Shopify order links. The original stays as it was.
Review the new pricing before sending. If an item has been deleted or is no longer available to the buyer, resolve that before duplicating. You can create a quote with replacement items through Create quote.
Who can create quotes?
Active Sales Reps and Admins can create and duplicate quotes. An admin can change the assigned rep afterward. Assignment identifies the person responsible for the quote; it does not limit other active reps to their own quotes.
What to expect
Your new quote is assigned to you and stays hidden from the buyer until you publish an offer.
