Shopify sends customer data and removal requests to the app. QuoteWick processes them in the background and lists them under Privacy in Shopify Admin. You need the app’s Admin role to manage them.
Download and deliver an export
Find the customer data request on the Privacy requests page. When its status is Ready:
- Select Download export.
- Review the export and deliver it through your customer support process.
- Return to the request and select Mark delivered after delivery.
Marking it delivered revokes the download. The export includes eligible quote data and documents, with internal notes, costs, and unpublished staff drafts excluded.
Ready exports expire 30 days after generation. Background maintenance marks them Expired, revokes their download access, and queues their files for deletion. If you still need an expired export, use Regenerate export to prepare a new one.
Regenerate an export
Use Regenerate export when a customer data export needs to be prepared again. Wait for the background work to finish and the request to become ready before downloading it.

Check data removal
Customer redactions run automatically. They remove the customer’s owned quote records and their contributions to other quotes. Related document deletion is tracked until it completes.
Shop-level removal also runs in the background after uninstall. It cannot complete while the shop is still installed.
Failures remain visible on the Privacy page and in Operations. Ask your app administrator to resolve the reported cause so processing can finish.

The Privacy page lets you deliver ready exports and check requests that are still processing or need attention.
