QUOTE TO DRAFT ORDER

Ready for
Shopify checkout.

When a buyer accepts and the conversion checks pass, QuoteWick creates a Shopify draft order with the agreed items and prices. The buyer can then continue through Shopify checkout.

Carry the agreement forward

Create the draft order from the accepted revision’s products, quantities, and negotiated prices.

Continue through Shopify

Once the invoice is available, buyers can proceed to Shopify checkout from their quote.

Choose your inventory policy

Configure whether acceptance warns about stock, requires review, or skips availability checks.

HOW IT WORKS

What happens
after acceptance?

Acceptance starts the conversion

The buyer accepts an eligible offer in their customer account. QuoteWick processes the acceptance and creates the Shopify draft order when the configured checks pass.

Decide how to handle stock

An admin can choose to warn and convert, block conversion for insufficient stock, or ignore availability. You can limit the check to selected inventory locations. It does not reserve stock.

Find the invoice on the quote

Shopify commerce shows the draft and invoice link once available. The buyer still needs to complete checkout, where shipping and taxes are calculated.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Worth knowing.

Does accepting a quote mean the order has been paid?

No. Acceptance starts draft-order conversion. The buyer still follows Shopify’s invoice or checkout flow, and completed orders are tracked separately.

What if a quote needs review?

An admin can open the quote to read the reason, resolve the issue, and use the available conversion recovery actions.
