Accept the offer from your customer account when you’re happy with the items and prices. QuoteWick then runs conversion checks and creates a Shopify draft order if they pass.
1. Review the current offer
Open the quote in your customer account. Check the current offer’s products, quantities, offered unit prices, negotiated total, payment terms, and Valid until date.
Review the buyer-facing message and PDF if one is available. If you have received several revisions, use Show revision history or Compare revisions to understand what changed.
If something needs adjusting, send a change request before accepting the offer.
2. Accept the quote
Select Accept quote when the action is available and you’re ready to proceed. Acceptance starts QuoteWick’s conversion process using the accepted revision.
Use Refresh status to check progress. An offer that has expired, been closed, or otherwise become ineligible won’t offer the same acceptance action; contact your sales representative to discuss the next step.
3. Continue to Shopify checkout
Once conversion succeeds and the invoice link is available, choose Proceed to Shopify checkout from the quote.
The products and negotiated prices come from the accepted offer. Shipping and taxes are calculated at checkout, and payment follows Shopify’s invoice or checkout flow.
Accepting a quote is not the same as paying for an order. A converted quote links to a Shopify draft order; completing the purchase is a separate step.
If the quote needs merchant review
You may see a message saying that the quote requires merchant review before it can proceed. Contact your assigned sales representative for an update.
The merchant can inspect the quote and resolve the condition preventing conversion. As a buyer, you don’t need to create a replacement request just because the original is waiting for review.
For merchants: understand inventory policies
An admin chooses Inventory policy on buyer acceptance in Settings:
| Policy | What happens |
|---|---|
| Warn sales rep and convert | Creates the draft order and records stock warnings for backorders. |
| Block conversion and require review | Insufficient-stock quotes move to Needs Review. |
| Ignore stock availability | Skips the inventory check for the conversion. |
Eligible inventory locations can be specified in Settings. This check does not reserve stock or guarantee fulfillment routing.
In the merchant quote, Shopify commerce shows the linked draft and invoice when available, plus the order ID after order creation. A converted draft and a completed order are tracked separately.
For a failed or uncertain conversion, an admin can follow Troubleshoot quotes and delivery. The guide explains when to retry and when to reconcile with an existing Shopify draft.
What to expect
An accepted quote can become a Shopify draft order, with the invoice or checkout link connected to the original quote.
