Your team works in Shopify Admin. Buyers request and review quotes in their customer account. Set up both before sending your first offer.
Before you begin
You’ll need a Shopify store with B2B company accounts, access to install or open QuoteWick, and a test buyer assigned to a company location with permission to place orders.
The buyer needs a B2B company location. A personal customer account on its own won’t be enough.
Look for QuoteWick in both Shopify Admin and the customer accounts editor during setup.
1. Connect your Shopify store
Select Get started on this website and enter your store’s .myshopify.com domain, such as your-store.myshopify.com. Complete the connection flow, then open QuoteWick from Shopify Admin.
The first verified store owner, or fully permissioned staff member with a verified email, becomes the app’s first admin. An existing QuoteWick admin can manage access for additional team members.
2. Add the buyer-facing page
In Shopify’s checkout and customer accounts editor, add the published QuoteWick page. Add it to the customer account menu so buyers can find it.
Save your changes, then open customer accounts and check that the page appears. If the extension isn’t listed, ask your app administrator to check that it has been published.
3. Choose your store settings
In QuoteWick, open Settings and review:
- Quote validity in days: the time until a sent quote expires, from 1 to 365 days.
- Quote terms for future revisions: your own terms, or leave blank to use the standard validity, tax, and shipping terms.
- Inventory policy on buyer acceptance: how stock availability affects conversion.
- Merchant logo: optional branding for future quote PDFs.
- Staff notification language: English, French, German, or Spanish for future staff emails.
Choose Save Settings. Payment terms come from the buyer’s Shopify company location rather than a free-form setting here.
4. Set up the quote-review email
Copy the published buyer page’s HTTPS URL into QuoteWick customer-account page URL in Settings. Use the page root containing /pages/, without a query string, fragment, or quote-specific suffix.
Enable Email buyers and the shop contact about quote updates. Your app administrator must also configure the server’s mail settings and run a background worker. Buyer emails need the saved page URL to work.
You can customize the introduction and signature and opt into reminders. Follow Set up quote emails and reminders for the full setup and a delivery check.
5. Try both ways to start a quote
Sign in as your B2B test buyer. Open QuoteWick, select the company location, add products and quantities, and choose Submit quote request.
For the buyer steps, see Request a quote from your customer account.
Return to the app in Shopify Admin and find the request under Quotes. Check the company, notes, and selected items.
Your team can also choose Create quote to prepare an offer for a phone or email enquiry. The merchant quote guide explains creation and duplication.
If your first request doesn’t appear
Confirm that the buyer submitted the request rather than only saving a draft. Clear inbox filters, and check that the buyer is signed in to the intended company location.
If the customer account cannot be identified, ask your app administrator to check the installation’s protected customer data access. If a colleague cannot open the merchant workspace, review their staff access.
Once the quote is ready, prepare and send an offer. Check that the test buyer can open the review email, see the offer, and download its PDF after generation.
What to expect
Your team can create and receive quotes in Shopify Admin, and buyers can open their offers from the customer-account page.
